I have been a caregiver ever since October of 2017 and I love it so much! I am 18 years old (turning 19 in August) and I am currently a student enrolled at Sierra College. Currently, I'm taking the program prerequisites to ultimately pursue my dream career as a nurse. I was looking for more CNA type jobs about a year ago because I recently completed an internship at Sutter Roseville Medical Center where I basically shadowed the CNAs in the Oncology unit, and I got to see what it was really like to work as a nurse/doctor/CNA in the hospital. So I thought to myself why not try caregiving since I loved working with the elderly in the Oncology unit, and honestly it was the best decisions I have ever made. My favorite thing about caregiving is forming connections and relationships with my residents/clients and just knowing that I am making the smallest difference in their life is so rewarding!
