Teach developmentally disabled clients according to the Individual Program Plan of each client. Provide suitable environment for the client by maintaining cleanliness, ventilation, lighting and furniture arrangement with special emphasis on the cleanliness of equipment (wheelchairs, mats, etc). Preserve the dignity and self-respect of the clients at all times. Keep alert to the client's condition and report changes in the client's attitude, appearance, behavior and physical ability to the Program Director or QMRP/Administrator. Perform selected nursing procedures which do not require QD professional supervision. Supervise clients continuously. Document on client's flow sheet, behavior data collection, BM, change of condition and other records as necessary. Attend all inservice training, per State regulations.

Assisted non-ambulatory patient Zona Bower, and ambulatory patient Joseph Bower. Assisted with grooming and bathing, wound care, grocery shopping, run errands, meals, medications, housekeeping, laundry, driving and transporting to recreational activities and doctors’ appointments, including organizing mail, banking, managing appointments, refill medications, recorded blood pressure readings, CO2 reading, and administered breathing treatments for Joseph Bower’s COPD. Maintained and recorded doctor visits, hospital stays health issues, and medical diagnosis. Prepared Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for recording tax deductible medical expenses, dental, supplies, donations for Income Tax purposes. Zona Bower passed away on June 27, 2013. Joseph Bower became non-ambulatory in August 2015 and had to be transported by wheelchair. He was placed on Hospice Care in October 26, 2015, and passed away on March 8, 2016.
