I became a caregiver because of the flexible hours which enabled me to complete my university. I like being a caregiver because I like helping others and the rewards are usually positive. I've pursued a career other than care-giving or nursing prior to raising my children but I kind of regret that I did not continue to study nursing. Nevertheless, now that my kids are almost grown (I have a 13 year old and 11 year old), I would like to get certified as a nurse assistant again and as a home health aide and work at night while my kids are sleeping. I am currently a homeschooling mom and would have to come home in the morning to help my kids with their schooling.
