Why would a patient want you to take care of them at home? As a certified nursing assistant/home health aid we have a goal to provide to each and every one of our patients/clients daily. There are a lot of reasons why a client would want me to take care of them at home, but the most important reason perhaps is the client feels more comfortable in an environment they know very well such as their home. I’ve been trained in a variety of skills that I am confident and will perform to make the client feel at home, secure and most of all safe. The best care I can provide a patient is providing them with their activities of daily living which include bathing, toileting, transfers, ambulation, dressing, and supervision with love and care. Why would the family want you to take care of them at home? The client's family would see the holistic care that I would provide to their loved one as well as the all the attention they need. Sometimes the family needs someone to be there and provide them with company either because they feel lonely or simply just to have someone there to vent to in certain situations that might occur while assigned to a clients whether it’s at a hospital, nursing home, or at home. The family would feel that it is best to take care of their loved one at home it makes it much more easier for the patient as well as the family.
