When I first became a caregiver I did not know I would consider some of the people I do today, family. I have met many people in which hold a special place in my heart. Knowing that I am there to make someone smile, make their day easier by assisting them with daily life is why I love my job so much. Seeing a family thank me for being there, when I really should thank them for giving me another opportunity to meet such amazing people in my life. I enjoy the stories, the laughs, the cries and being there for someone every step of the way. I have learned so much about myself being a caregiver. I have learned just what it takes to be compassionate about a "job". My aunt told me " if you do something you love.. it will never be considered a job" and that is how I feel today. I am CPR/FIRST AID Certified, I am trained as a Caregiver and Medication Technician and I am registered with the state for In-home Care.
