Prior to becoming a caregiver I worked in Business Management for 15 years. I left in 2009 to take care of my grandmother in who needed full time care due to COPD and Parkinson's Disease. While caring for my grandma for 3 years I learned how important it is to make sure the elderly are treated with empathy, patience, love and proper care. So after my grandma went to be with the Lord I new I wanted to make a difference in others who needed assistance in Everyday living due to an Illness or just unable to due things they use to cause getting older which we will all be there someday and need some extra car e. So I went to school to better my education and learn more about knowing the proper mechanics and safety to be able to be the best caregiver. I Got My CNA/HHA. I got a job pretty fast after finishing school at a Facility where they put me through a Med Tech Program so I am also able to administer Medication, Take Blood Sugar and Assist with Insulin. I Work with that company for 5yrs but have decided I would like to work as a personal in- home caregiver where I can work one on one and am able to give that client the best care possible and there able to stay in there own homes. ... more
