I care-visited a lady for 7 yrs, first as a volunteer, then paid before she went into assisted living. During this time, I held a job and attended college modules studying Gerontology. I have always been involved with caregiving. When my father passed, I decided that I would do what really matters to me which is caregiving. I'm now care-visiting full time. I enjoy knowing that I am truly making a difference everyday in someone's life as well as giving respite to families. I am responsible, punctual, take initiative, am patient, a good listener and I communicate well. I feel it's important that a person remain as independent as long as possible.
