I have been working as the caregiver since 2010 and taking care of many clients since then. I have been dedicating to all my clients along with my professional work. Even though they are dementia and/or having other health issues, they try to show me their interest. It was very nice even if the old lady (90 Years-old) won the \"Haiku\" contest. I am so glad to assist her even though she has been having her dementia problem. She even told me: \"this was the first time to win the contest, and published my Haiku on the local newspaper in my life.\" I also assisted 97 years-old lady to knit and sew to make her daughters' gifts. It became her accomplished memory in her life. And it also became her family's memorable gifts after she passed away. The old lady told me: \"I could not imagine I could knit and sew this much.\" That is why I like this job, and in terms of getting clients' maximum abilities I am dedicated and respectable to all of my clients. Plus I would like to help elderly clients for their limited valuable time. To get more professional medical knowledge, I obtained the certified MA license and physical therapy aide certification for my clients in March, 2013, and Pharmacy Tech State License 2015. I would like to keep doing this work and help my clients. Plus, I have been helping shower and physical exercises, and meal preparation for disable clients. I have been assisting this client for shower, toilet and physical exercises, and meal preparation. Due to the Dementia and Parkinson conditions with stroke, it is impossible to walk. I have been assisting physical exercises for two years and her condition is stable. Even the client recovered from bed sores many times by the washing method. Feeding meal has to be 100% pureed. The client has been healthier than previous caregivers' care. This client is going to be 90 years old in this month.

Due to the client's severe mental condition and some health problems, I assisted her to do all the daily work: bathing, dressing, diaper changing, combing hair, light cleaning, doing laundry, preparing special diet meal(s) per daily, knitting, sewing, making hand crafts ornaments, writing, calculating, physical exercising through the physical therapist, and walking exercises under the doctor's supervison.

Due to her hip injury, she was in the Acute Care Center in Fullerton. So in order to assist her, I was sent from my agency to the center. Mainly, changing her diaper and positioning work were requested. She had the bed sore for a while. So I had to clean the wound not to be infected when changing diaper every time. Through the the doctor, I also assisted to do walking exercises and taking her outside by the wheel chair once a while. Then, after her recovery, her family took her to the nursing home. Due to the shift system, I took care of her a few times a week including the night shift.

I assisted her using Hoyer Lift from the bed to the wheel chair and from the wheel chair to the bathroom or vice versa. She was unable to stand on the floor due to her weak legs and unstable condition. So regular work was maily transfering her and diaper changes, including preparing meal and feeding her. Medicaiton management through the doctor was also included. I served her for a month for someone's vacation time.
