I am proficient in basic skills: personal hygiene like showers/bath, oral care, toileting, back-rub, dressing; Assists in activities of daily living such as serving & feeding, ambulating, positioning, transferring, administer meds & nutritional supplements, dressings surgical prep; Do & record vital sign: blood pressure, weight, pulse, temperature, finger pricking for sugar levels in diabetics; Measure & record food & liquid intake, urinary & fecal output and report changes. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients.
