I am an experienced Care Giver with 5 years of experience. I have recently moved from Australia where I gained all of my care giver and AIN (Assistant in Nursing, equivalent to CNA) education and experience. I have completed Certificates in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Dementia care, Palliative Care, Medication Administration and Management, Skin and Foot Care, Alcohol and Drugs, first aid certificate and Criminal Background check. As well as having a clear TB test and drug test. I have also supervised the high care dementia wing at the Facility I worked at in Australia. Aged Care and Disability Care is my passion, heart and sole and I have CHOSEN to do this line of work because I believe I was born to do it. I tell people that my method of caring is to care with the absolute greatest love and kindness for the person I assist. I have recently spent 12 months caring for a 47 year old man wit ALS. I gained extensive knowledge of this terrible disease as well constant communication with the Dr's and staff at the Forbes Norris ALS Research Center. I have found there are not many ALS specific caregivers or people who know enough about the disease to properly care for the person. I am that person. Know that if your loved one has ALS I am truly one of the best to care for them. I am a fantastic cook and am more than happy to run errands or complete household chores. I also love dogs and cats.
