I make a good caregiver as being reliable, completing my assigned task diligently with respect to my patients' privacy and dignity by exhibiting a positive demeanor, being considerate and kind when working with them. The reason I became a Caregiver is that it impacts lives positively. Some residents go through emotional feelings, and I help them feel better. Residents truly appreciate all the help I provide, especially the things that are not in my duties. A career in caregiving offers so much potential. Every caregiver has different reasons for becoming a caregiver. For me uniquely, it gives purpose by providing a way to help others. It is rewarding and necessary work to do in our community.

1. I am a great caregiver because I make it a point to make sure that patients know that I care for them and that there well-being is my utmost priority. I talk to patients, I try to get to know them so I can better care for them, and all in all I want them to feel comfortable and that they can trust me. I am an easy person to talk to, others see me as bubbily and friendly, and I like to make patients laugh. 2. I wanted to be a caregiver because I have a big heart when it comes to helping others. I put others needs before my own often both in and outside of work, I also want to become a nurse in the future so I knew that this was defenitely a sign to look into becoming one. I feel like patients need people around who care about being there to help them and not just someone to take their vitals. Being a caregiver also comes with being emotionally available to patients and I think that is one of the most rewarding things about being a caregiver is that they know they have that kind of support. 3. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is all of the stories I hear from patients, not only that but even simple day to day things, like one of my patients making me laugh. I'm a people person so I enjoy just being in good company. Every person has a different story and this is something I love about what I do because then I feel like I can really get to know my patients and a lot of times they suprise me with stuff I didn't know before. It's like a chance to never stop learning new things. 4. A personal achievement that I am proud of, not to be cliche, but is me being the person I am today. I take pride in who I am as a person and I always want for others to see me this way as well. Life is not easy for anyone and we all face different obstacles but to me an achievement is just remaining a good person through it all.
