I began my caregiving career as a skilled CNA in a nursing home at the Care Center in Oakdale. Once I perfected my skills and with the proper work-methods, I resumed my work ethics at Oak Valley Hospital in the Rehabilitation Center; and was promoted by The Director of Nursing to a RNA position ( Restorative Nursing Assistant) working directly with professionals such as PT, PTA, Speech Specialists, RNs and Doctors. It was my absolute pleasure to see my patients regain their health and return home to loved ones. With my acquired experience and knowledge, great compassion and kindness, I became an independent caregiver and have worked as a private caregiver for over 20 yrs. I love what I do. I have met many wonderful clients and family loved ones; and graciously, I have received many letters of recognition. Through my caregiving process, I have worked diligently along side Hospice, applying my nursing skills to bring comfort to dying patients. My goal is to bring a quality of life to my clients with much joy and with a compassion filled with gentle kindness. Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I'm a 44 year old single woman with a 15 year old daughter and 4 month old husky son. I've been a licensed phlebotomist for 16 years and have always worked in healthcare. My mother was in a wheelchair and completely dependent on me for her every day basic needs and it gave me a great appreciation for the dignity of other humans who need extra help. I also moved my 88 year old grandpa with severe dementia and stroke history into my home. He was always completely dependent on me. It was the most humbling experience and I learned so much about health and human needs. I am very loving and compassionate and I really miss my mother and grandpa. If I could help another family with their loved one, I would be completely dedicated to their total well being. I love animals, I love people, I grew up in the Sacramento delta and in the last couple years moved to the Bay Area.
