Working with the elderly can be a tough and an emotional job. If you don't have motivation, patience, empathy and compassion, right skills, then you are not suited for the job. I was inspired being a caregiver when my beloved mother was diagnosed with cancer. I was in college at the time, completed a 2 year degree in education. But everything changed after my mother passed away. I wasn't interested in teaching but strongly had empathy and compassion in helping the elders or a loved one in need. Throughout my many years of experiences, working in a facility as a caregiver, CNA and a medication technician, I appreciated life even more by caring for someone else and being able to provide them the care they need.
