Currently, I do volunteer work for St. Bernardine Hospice in Apple Valley, CA. My duties include companionship, reading, walking, exercise, personal care such as fingernail painting, lotion application. I am a retiree, previously worked for the State of California as a representative of E.D.D. in Unemployment and Disability Insurance. My last position was as an analyst in Child Care Licensing Division. I have extensive experience with people interaction and lots empathy for those in need. I am physically strong and don't mind physical work. I like to cook and clean and feel I relate well to people. I was previously a caretaker to my father when he was ill. I have experience in assistance with toileting, cooking, cleaning, transportation, medication reminder and use of a gait belt. I am not able to work in a smoking household.
