Helping people has been a passion of mine for many years. My mother was diagnosed with a neurological disorder when I was three. For many years, I was her primary caregiver and watched her struggle with chronic pain. I started realizing that the basic stretches and exercises I was doing in ballet class could help her regain some of her strength and alleviate some of the pain she was experiencing. After doing this for many years, I also realized that what I was doing may be able to help the over 100 million Americans living with chronic pain. So, a few years ago I put all of the basic stretches, exercises, and ballet moves into a class format and began teaching. I started locally at nursing homes, schools, and children's hospitals. Then I quickly began expanding the program, teaching my Dancing Through the Pain classes all over the United States and becoming an ambassador and spokesperson for the U.S. Pain Foundation. I would love to be able to help you or your family member just like I helped my own family through times of trouble!
