I have taken care of grandparents for many years and an elderly neighbor, I treat my residents with respect and want them to feel safe and cared for when I am with them. I talk to them while I'm with them from just checking on them, getting them a drink/ meal, to changing diapers. I currently have several residents who tell me how much they appreciate me and I am very proud that they feel that way about me. I know that some day I will be in their position and want someone who cares just as much as I do about taking care of the elderly.
