I am a highly skilled, bilingual, health care professional with over 25 years experience. Developed excellent reputation for being energetic, self-motivated, and compassionate. What makes me a great caregiver is that I am passionate about serving a community of people who, in large part, have become marginalized and neglected by society. I have come to discover that the elderly have acquired amazing wisdom and experience. They have a wealth of knowledge that goes underappreciated and they deserve our utmost respect and courtesy. They are our fathers, mothers, and grandparents. And, in time, they will be us. I received a Heroic Service Award on 7/2/2003 Presented for prompt and decisive action in administering the Heimlich Maneuver to a choking victim, which was credited for saving individual's life.

I enjoy listening to people and caring for them. I want them to be comfortable and as happy as they can be for the situation. I want to give them the attention, care and dignity they deserve. Spending time listening and sharing conversations - while also doing my job of making sure they are eating, drinking, exercising. Etc. I never thought about being a caregiver - it just happened and I am glad it did because I enjoy it. I work to increase their state of mind (happy, smile and laugh)- I know this time of their life is tough and I want to help them find some enjoyment and comfort to embrace each day.
