My background includes being a Certified Home Health Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant, in which I cared for mostly elderly individuals, helping them with all of their activities of daily living. I most recently applied my skills as a CHHA in a private homecare setting. Previously, I have worked as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility. I became adept at taking vitals, charting patients' information and ADLs, and generally interacting with individuals in a healthcare setting. I also acquired my bachelor's degree in molecular biology from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2018, and from that I gleaned a strong medical background and an extensive understanding of neurodegenerative diseases, which has had a unique impact on how I think and behave when caring for the sick and aging. Furthermore, all of my previous work experiences involved some form of practicing excellent customer service, and I learned to interact with people from all walks of life in a professional but warm and understanding way, especially under tense circumstances or when faced with a challenge. To me, caring for someone at home requires the utmost respect and compassion, and the skills that I have in that aspect will surely serve me well in the position of caring for individuals in their own home. It is always my goal to practice patience, kindness, and integrity when caring for others.
