I became a caregiver because I have a passion for helping people, especially elderly patients. The best part of my job is when my patients are thankful for what I consider a small task, that to them means the world. I like to reassure them that they aren't alone as they age, and that they are honorable human beings. A personal achievement for me was taking care of a patient until the time of his death. During the funeral, the family made a special announcement to the public of how happy and thankful they were of my care. That by far, has been one of the biggest awards in my life. I always like to have fun with my elderly patients, and they become part of my family.
