Have the abilities to speak with doctors and articulate whats needed for the patient. Make appointments. Order and prepare medications. Check vitals, including blood sugar. Give insulin shots. The for knowledge of gastric tube feeding and maintenance of the tube. Full knowledge and experience using a Hoyer lift. I'm able to guide an electric wheelchair while patient is in it, good with getting him patients out the house, shopping walking. I'm an excellent and caring care giver. I am specially proud of working with quadriplegic patient that only giving 5 years. we shared 13 1/2 wonderful years together.
