Provides professional habilitative services to persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The primary responsibility is to assist people i support in skill acquisition in such areas as: daily living; socialization; leisure and recreation; human growth and development; fine and motor gross; and communication skill by monitoring and implementing each person's daily activity schedules and participation in the delivery services and individualized programs. Reporting to job site at the scheduled time or based upon assigned person's need, exercising good and proper judgement in the application of established policies and procedures in order to ensure well-being and safety of people i support and must maintain hygiene and appropriate attire to be respectful to the people in support and other duties as assigned. Performing housekeeping/cleaning tasks and transporting people i support to keep appointments, therapy sessions, programs, clinics, and other activities as scheduled and keeping up to date on all certifications including CPR and First Aid. Finally interacting frequently and positively with people i support, external professionals, clinicians, family, etc.
