My name is Michelle Brooks and I am a caregiver. I enjoy caregiving because it gives me personal satisfaction that I am able to help my clients live an easier and happier life. I have always had a naturally caregiving spirit, and that is what motivated me to become a registered nurse. I started the RN program at Antelope Valley College in August of 2016 and I consider that to be one of my greatest acheivements. Getting here has been the hardest part this far, however I wouldn't take any of it back, especially the experiences that I have had with my clients while working as a caregiver. I have a fantastic work ethic and any one of my previous bosses/clients will tell you the same. I will make sure that my job is not only done at the end of the work day, but accomplished with a keen eye to detail and an importance set on the happiness and fulfillment of my clients. I first became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2001 after my first child was born. I then realized the joy I had while caring for individuals and learned to love what I did. The one on one care with individuals is the best, especially when I see their faces light up when I walk into their room. It makes me feel and know without a shadow of a doubt that I am doing my job correctly. I've learned to have patience and my compassion and empathy have increased tremendously. I have continued my knowledge with an associates in Medical Assisting. My next goal is to continue my education and receive my BSN. I currently am not working and stay at home with. I have four kids now and a loving fiance that supports my dreams in becoming a nurse.
