Most of my duties are 24 hours or live in. My compassionate nature combined with my hands-on experience in personal care makes me a perfect candidate for a full-time caregiver position. My excellent personal care skills and high level of commitment to my work enable me help the elderly to maintain mobility through light work and walking. I also have a demonstrated ability to assist cognitive functioning through various methods such as conversation, memory drills and books. In keeping with your specific requirements, I am expert in planning and preparing nutritious meals, helping with activities of daily living and personal care such as bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting and dressing. Furthermore, I make sure to be on time with the patients, for distance doesn't matter as long as I am able to provide care, love and affection to them. So that early in the morning, happiness and joy would fill in not just to the patients' lives but to my life as well. I am currently working full time as a Certified Nursing Assistant since late 2013 in two skilled nursing facilities in Bellflower 5 days a week. I am strongly leaning to leaving my 7-3 shift, and keeping my 3-11 shift. Hence the reason I put up my application here in carelinx to find a potential client. But, if my potential client prefers that I work in the afternoons, I can switch my 3-11 shift to morning shift. Prior to being a CNA, I was a full-time caregiver for my late mother from 2003-2013, who was going through a multitude of illness including dementia that later progressed to Alzheimer's. It was through taking care of my late mother that I first learned about the values of sacrifice, empathy, patience, kindness, and perseverance. Though I have lost ten years and missed opportunities (including dropping out of my Master's program in Sociology in 2002/2003) from having the responsibility in taking care of my late mother, my one and still only regret was I wish I was better caregiver then if I had all the skills and knowledge that I have now acquired working as a CNA. As a CNA, I have a strong work ethic, dedication, commitment, and efficient with my time management. I would like to bring this work experience as well as my 10 years caregiver commitment to my own late mother to my potential client. Lastly, my fee is negotiable depending on the needs of my client and the location.
