When I was a teenager, I provided care for my uncle when he was really sick and bedridden. I was on vacation and decided to be with him instead. He improved after a couple of months and I helped him with transferring, feeding, comfort, toileting and grooming. I really enjoyed assisting him and knew I wanted to become a caregiver or a nurse. I really love providing for the needs of my patients, improving their care and giving back to the patients and families.
