I've been in health care for most of my life, from assisting my parents with my autistic older brother, becoming a CNA(4+ years), and taking off time from work to care for grandmother with Alzheimer's until her passing. Care giving is something I hold dear to my heart, it gives me an opportunity to spread the "young" joy I have to the geriatric community and also give them a sense of peace knowing there are still young people out here with a care for this community. Working in this field has offered me room to grow mentally, emotionally and professionally but the authentic knowledge and love I receive from all my clients is the most appreciated gift I could receive from this job.
