
I learned from my mother who owned a residental care facility for the elderly and i began working there at the age of 11. By the age of 13 i began taking leadership and helping my mother train newly hired caregivers knowing the business inside and out. When it comes to being a caregiver i love the fact that each and everyday i am given an opportunity to help a person do something that they are unable to do on their own. I enjoy waking up every day and realizing that i am given a golden opportunity to put a smile one ones face and vice versa. I am proud that at a very young age i was so interested in helping live life day by day and began to like it more and more everyday. I feel that it is very important to learn new skills everyday, i am very proud of myself because i grew a special liking to care giving and mastered it at such a young age. I am a 18 year old young women who grew up and learned care giving and assistant living in my mothers elderly home in Los Angeles California. At the age of 14 i realized that i loved helping people and had strong ambitions of going into the medical field. That being said i attended King Drew Magnet high school of medicine and science where yet again i was able to gain a new experience getting ahead of the game and working hands on in the hospital program.
