I chose to become a caregiver when my Uncle who was on hospice could not be placed in a skilled facility due to no beds available they said. He lived with me and my husband where he was fed, bathed, provided with companionship and made as comfortable as possible til he passed with his loved ones. I also have provided weekly assistance to an elderly couple with cleaning and shopping for them. I love to take care of people who need help. January '17, I ended a caregiver position since she was on hospice and has since passed away. I was with her since May 2016. Most recently I have been employed 40 hours a week caring for a 71 year old female with frontal temporal dementia.
