I became a care giver because I was raised by my grandmother and when I was around 11 or 12 years old my grandmother had a stoke which devastated me because she was my everything so I'd watch the nurses at the hospital and also when they'd come out to our home and I Just got this feeling of i'd love to be able to help my grandmother out more as well as make others feel better especially my grandmother so I went to school to become a medical assistant and shortly after I took a certified nursing assistant course I also became my grandmothers care provider for 7 years until cancer took over her body even doing the hospice stages I cared for my grandmother unfortunately she passed away in 2012 . I was also a caregiver for my aunt who passed away from cancer as well in 2013. Honestly my grandmother had a lot of health issues and I was her number one comforter and supporter as she was mine so the moment she fell ill I instantly developed a strong passion for helping others out. I'm thanful I was able to be blessed with a passion and empathy for people in need, I beleive in my heart I did everything I was able to do for my loved ones I've lost plus the numerous amount of people I was able to help and show love and support to at the nursing home I worked at for 7 years. I Took some time off to focus on my family I have 4 children a husband but I'm ready to step back out there and do what I was put here on this earth to do which is help others.
