My personality traits that helps me as a caregiver I feel is me being genuinely me. When I say that I say that it's me letting people know that I am my authentic self. I have took care of my grandfather before of his passing and he marked me with words before he left and that was him solely telling me that I have a gift to help other elders not just him. Which stuck with me forever because I know that I have a great heart and I make any one feel as though they are in the confront of their own home. That's my ability to do that. My personality is not just funny, kind, and loving. It's more so caring, humanity, compassion, empathy and so forth I can keep going. I just want all my patients/clients to know that they're indeed loved and supported. What attracted me to caregiving was me being patient with my grandfather when I took the toll on taking care of him it was a full time job it wasn't part time I couldn't take breaks in between it was none of that. The only time I will get to rest is when I lay down and close my eyes to go to sleep. I was very anxious on thinking about getting into the nursing field until I seen that taking care of someone you genuinely want to be there for is not that hard. I grew my passion from my grandfather he strived me to make a huge difference into helping other people that are in need of our help. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is that when my patient can't seem to get the solution to the problem that they're looking for I simply help them with that weather it's me doing breathing exercises with them or simply talking them through it. I love being able to let them know like "hey I'm here if you need anything or is worried about anything I am here". I know at certain times that may not work. Which is perfectly fine I will have different avenues and structures to accommodate that.
