Hello, my name is Betsaida Liberato. What I like about care giving is the difference you can make in a persons life. Most of the times we do not only need someone to do things for us or to help us get trough the day, but someone who can accompany us throughout the day. In my little experience as a CNA I enjoyed see a smile on the residents, talk to them while helping them, try to make them feel comfortable. I must say that I consider myself kind, I like to treat people with kindness, be patient and understanding. During my training I specially enjoyed making a change in a residents life. Specially one that has dry flaky skin, and during those 2 weeks I committed to apply a rich moisturizer on a daily basis and his skin dramatically change. Another resident just wanted somebody to talk to and turns out that we had a tv show that we both liked and used to talk about the show, it made him happy to have somebody to discuss the show. I believe that besides providing quality of life to the clients/residents, it's the little things in life that made a difference.
