I am presently working as a Caregiver for the elderly. I take pride in being a Caregiver with 5 years work experience providing care, assistance and compassion to hospice (end of life care) and elderly patients/clients with their daily living activities on a one-on-one arrangement which includes personal and health care, simple exercises/range of motion, medication reminders/administration, light housekeeping and simple meal preparation, Prior to this, I have over 10 years experience in the Human Resources, the last of which was in the capacity of HR Representative in an IT consulting company. I became a caregiver because I believe it is my "calling." I simply tried it with encouragement from my sister-in-law who is also into caregiving. I have no formal training or license to boast of but I am proud to say that I learned all my caregiving skills on the job. To be able to help, be of service and make a difference to lives of the elderly gives me a great feeling! (P.S. Unfortunately, I do not drive😊)

I love what I do! I love making a difference in someone's life - if I can make them laugh or smile then I've done my job! If I can get my clients out of the house for shopping, appointments or even lunch then I'm helping them help me! I love making new friends & having everlasting friendships with my clients and their families! For the past 3 years I've been a caregiver for my neighbor's dad (he's 97), I was his morning caregiver (he had round the clock caregiving), I fed him breakfast and lunch, took him to church / bingo every Monday, we did his errands during the week and Fridays we did the library. I really love my job as a caregiver!
