I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother to 13. I've worked as a caregiver for the last 15+ years and counting. I love my clients and working with the elderly. What started out as a job became second nature and probably alot of that has to do with my cultural background. I loved it so much, I paid for my own training and certifications to be an independent caregiver. I got bonded, insured and registered with the state and I have several great references from the loving families of those whom I have cared for over the years. I've had great experiences with those who I have worked for and with, along with learning from wonderful nurses and doctors that I've interacted with during the care of many of my clients. I am very proud of the achievements I've made in taking the initiative to learn as I go with each client, and each client came with various conditions and ailments, and some with multiple conditions. It has been a great journey of growth and connection for me like no other and I find it so fulfilling to be able to help our elderly population in need. They have been all like family.

Why did you become a caregiver? My mother was a caregiver, and inspired me to become one and I've been in love with it ever since. What I like about being a Caregiver is that you can give a person a sense of independence while helping them to maintain their freedom of living while assisting them with thier needs, cares and support of living. My personal achievement is that you're never too late to go back to school recieved your High School Diploma and also that I'm a fighter and I'm willing to keep learning new things in life to help me to grow and mature in all experiences that life gives me, as I go through this journey of reaching whats best for my life that God has destined for me.
