Hello! My Name is Robin. I am certified as a Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide. Through my career, I have had the opportunity to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. The fondness I gained for seniors especially, won out, and geriatrics became my specialty. I have 30+ years' experience caring for people challenged with Alzheimer's and Demetia, Hospice and end of life care, including 24hr asst. I have a great understanding of the complexities that come with someone needing care: the change in lifestyle, the fear of, and sometimes losing independence and having to depend on others. A challenge for both the person in need and family members alike. My goal is to make sure I do all I can to maintain the dignity and wellbeing of the person I am caring for and to offer as much support to the loved one's family. I offer showers, bed baths, meal prep, medication managing, doctors' appointments, transfer asst, taking walks, Colostomy care (emptying and changing as needed). My favorite part is listening to the rich and wonderful life adventures only a person of a certain age can tell! Tales of weddings, their first love, tragedies and triumphs and other exciting occasions! Even if a memory challenged person loves to tell the same adventures, I'm all ears!
