Having an extensive history within the medical field during a military career, and moving on to doing CNA type work in home care for various temp agencies dealing with patient within nursing homes, retirement residence facility settings, and one on one, in-home care. I have worked with a diverse group of individuals with past clients having dementia, one year of hospice, bedridden, and companion/aide jobs, and have hands on experience with a stroke patient helping them with their physical therapy. Have done live in care giving, helping them with ADL and doing the housekeeping duties, cooking, shopping laundry, med reminder and taking care of any special needs they might have. I have a varied work history outside of the patient care status but recently started again because it’s what I know and love for its basic one on one inter- personal relationship I have with the person that I am caring for. There is a personal satisfaction and enjoyment that I get when my day is over knowing that I have helped someone that may not have been able to live their daily life to its fullest and by me being there I hope that I have enriched their life in some way.
