I became a caregiver because it is something that I have always done my whole life. I have always put others before me and I will not stop until I have done everything in my power to take care of that person. I like being a caregiver because I get to make someone feel comfortable or feel better; to make someone's day stress free by just taking care of them, is what I live for. I went to school to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse while taking care of my own family who were sick. My grandmother had to have a Gastrointestinal tube put in, and I was there not only to change her dressing but for moral support. She had a hard time letting nurses come in her home to change the dressing, so I offered to give my help and knowledge from what I was learning in school and put it to work. That was my biggest achievement! Something about myself; there is a lot to me, but I am very easy going, I do my best to have the best outcomes, and I will not stop until i have succeeded. I am very hardworking and am willing to do any task that cannot be done by the patient and/or family!
