I have taken a spiritual path in nursing. Everywhere I have been its for a reason it seems like. So I take special care of patients because of it. I feel I will be a great caregiver because I pay attention to detail, I prevent things from happening like falls, increased infections, increased anxiety, can decrease depression in individuals with my unique personality. I feel like when I come into a situation I bring positive energy, and can make people feel instantly comfortable. I also like to laugh and communicate with patients. I'm always worried about them so I ask lots of questions, always looking for ways to make them feel better.

Due to a lack of staff had to show tremendous teamwork. Dealt with many psych emergencies, 5150 situations. Required extreme aseptic technique due to the quality of the facility. Had to show tremendous psychosocial skills, and patience. Facility closed down in September 2006. But opened back up in 2009.

While waiting for NCLEX test results worked in medical records, an assisted patients to their doctor's appointments. Also did maintenance of wheelchairs (clean/fix) when their was no doctors appointments. After passing the NCLEX worked as an LVN from September 2002 until January 2004. While working as an LVN passed medications under supervision from an RN. Gave g-tube medications, blood sugar checks and insulin injections, helped with feeding patients in the dining rooms at times when not busy, etc. Worked on different floors (floater) trying to gain experience.

Dealt with a lot of hip/knee replacements, an stressful pain situations. Had to deal with people coming right out of surgery, mostly from Cedars Sinai Hospital. Had to be very sensitive to the patients needs.
