I enjoy providing companionship and outmost care to every person I am with. I have also a great deal of medical experience. I am proficient in basic skills: personal hygiene like showers/bath, oral care, toileting, back-rub, dressing; Assists in activities of daily living such as serving & feeding, ambulating, positioning, transferring, administer meds & nutritional supplements, dressings surgical prep; Do & record vital sign: blood pressure, weight, pulse, temperature, finger pricking for sugar levels in diabetics; Measure & record food & liquid intake, urinary & fecal output and report changes. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients. I would be very glad to be of service as I have an extensive experience in the medical field.

I have been a caregiver for over thirteen years, working with adults with mental disabilities as well as the elderly. I love people and thrive in the caregiving role. I am very respectful and kind. I am not overbearing yet very aware of the needs of clients. I am extremely thorough and responsible, have great references, and a real compassion for working with people in need of assistance. I feel the most confident in the role of the caregiver, I know the client is getting the best care possible. I am currently working to expand my range and depth of attending to the needs of the individuals I serve by attending a Holistic Health school that focuses on gentle, non-invasive therapies for a wide variety of physical and emotional healing and well-being including many modalities of massage and energy work.
