About Tikaya

I believe in order to be a great caregiver you have to love your job and be passionate about it, in which I do. I'm a very friendly, loving,down to earth type of person. I've been working as a certified nurse for a year and half now, and I cherish every moment brushing my clients hair, feeding,cleaning them up,etc. I would love to thank God first because if it wasn't for him my dream of being a nurse wouldn't have been accomplished, and my mother because she was the person I watched has a little girl at home taking care of my grandparents. (My grandfather was diabetic and grandmother was dealing with dementia) I would usually help her with them as well, but since I was young I didn't get to much with them then play games, and made sure they ate their dinner when my mom has gone to work. During that period of time is when I figured out I wanted to become a certified nurse like my mother. Overall, the best part of being a nurse/ caregiver is seeing a smile on my clients faces. No matter what their going through I believe my job as a caregiver is to make sure their happy ,well taken care of, and that all my responsibilities (ADL's) are met in a timely manner.
