I believe that providing quality care and safety to my residents is what makes me a great caregiver. It's also attending to their everyday needs and providing a relationship with not only the resident but to the family as well. I became a caregiver since I wanted to gain experience in the medical field so I can work my way up to becoming an RN. I am also passionate about helping others around me and making sure they are cared for so becoming a CNA was a great way for me to experience that. I am CNA certified and First Aid/CPR certified. I can only assist in feeding and preparing meals that are planned by the family, but not to cook meals since that is not within my job description as a CNA. I cannot take roles for passing out medication since that requires certification, but other than medications I can carry out other CNA tasks.
