I became a caregiver because opportunities for nurses from the Philippines closed in this country. What I like most about caregiving is that it's close to the way nurses look after their patients but it gets more deeper than that. Because you spend more time with the patient and you focus your attention solely to 1 patient only. I am proud that I was able to finish my nursing program and I am now starting my pre- med courses. I am also proud that I was able to work and study at the same time. I attended a 4 year nursing program in the Philippines. I worked as caregiver in Monterey, California for 1 year with an elderly 90 years of age. I am currently enrolled at Pasadena City College and studying pre- med courses as of the moment.
