I like being a caregiver because I like to help and service the disabled and knowing that with my help they are taken care of. Im proud of raising two children, completeing my certified nursing assistant program and state certification, working part-time as a caregiver, and also caring for a disabled parent. I am proud that I am determine to achieve what ever I feel is very important. I am thirty-eight years old. I have and adult daughter and two daughters that are under age. I was living with my parents when I separated from their father. I was working nights in order to care for my disabled father who is blind due to his diabetes illness during the day. I also picked him up from his dyalisis appointment. I have been involved in my fathers' care for 10+ years. I was employed as a caregiver for 6+ months until my private employer recuperated from his leukemia illness. During my employment as a caregiver I attended a Cna program and got my cna certificate on 06/05/2014. I trained in a skilled nursing facility for ten weeks. I started working full time as a certified nursing assistant for Plott healthcare on July 29 of 2014. I am looking for a part- time job as a cna/caregiver in the evenings. I truly enjoy working in the healthcare field.
