I believe what makes me a great caregiver is my genuine care and compassion for all the people I work with. I have been an official caregiver since July 2016. I have a lot of experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia. I also have experience in clinical settings and with nursing care due to my education to become a nurse and I worked in a convalescent hospital as a student so I know how to change a bed bound client, even by myself, and know how to administer medications if needed and how to perform bed baths and showers for clients. *** due to school I am only available Monday-Friday for day shifts. Tuesday and Thursday not available until after 12pm and Wednesday I have class 12pm-5pm making Wednesday availability limited. I am not available most weekends but if planned ahead of time I can work 2/3 weekends out of the month.

I am a soft hearted person. I always believe that I can fix the world and make everything better. I always go above and beyond to help everyone even if it means I stay without. What made me become a caregiver was when my dad was in a recovery home and a patient next to him had no one to visit him and he was so sad. He said to me, "I wish I had a daughter like you". After finding out he had no one, I told him "You just got one". The smile and happiness on his face did it for me. I gave love, hug him and took little things to him he liked. Sadly he passed about 1 month later. That is the reason I love not like being a caregiver. To give love and happiness at their time of need. My personal achievement that I am so proud of is writing and completing my book. I am a Domestic Violence survivor and my book tells my story. I am also proud and happy that I worked for 10 years working for ACTOR AND WRITER MR. SIDNEY REZNICK until he passed in 2004. I hope when I finally get it published, it can help someone. I love to help and care for defenseless people and give them as much love and happiness I can. I have been working as a caregiver for the past 15 years.
