I enjoy being a care giver due to the personal connections I am able to make with my patients. I find,it extremely rewarding. I have worked with detox patients and patience with a duel diagnosis of akzheimiers and dementia. To be with them day in and day out and in some cases to see a possibility for a longer life with quality. Is exciting. It does have its challenges but I feel that I learn more each minute of each day..Detox patients. Who has been in pain for so long and been held captive to the medication. Once removed the change is remarkable. It is one heck of a painful fight. These are some of the strongest patients I have had the pleasure to meet and work with. Both of these are near and dear to me. I just wish that at times when I was ill or my family members were ill. Someone cared the way I do. As if they were my family, son, sister, friend,mom,or daughter.
