I became a caregiver because I was attending collage and my Human Service Instructer recomended I care for the elders. I was not happy with his recommendation, i felt he was confusing me with someone else. I ended up woking at a home for the elders and i feel in love with the clients. I have never had such a rewarding position. I ended up taking a job with a client who only had 6 months to live. He waned to go home and die. I granted his wish and lived in his home for one year. He was happy and very much appreciaed me. I learned a lot from him and fell in love with him. i took care of him as if he was my grandfather. I respect and appreciae our elders. Taking care of them is the mos rewarding feeling I have had.
