About June

Helping people is what I love doing. I have a soft heart (a sensitive spirit) for people who need care and attention - whether spiritual, emotional or physical. I am drawn to people, and they are to me, when I start talking to them about how people should be needing people. Caregiving is not about the money we caregivers we receive and paid of for the services we render. It is first and foremost the GIVING before the TAKING. The very purpose why I am here (as a permanent resident) is to be able to spend more time with 88 years old mother. Little did I realize that I would see myself volunteering to provide care (so to spare my siblings who are all busy working from doing so). That decision stopped me from looking for a corporate job requiring 4 to 5 of a week of 8 hours a day of work or even more. As I am very happy looking after my mother, I realized further that this is my calling - to help people live well, happy and contented, not hopeless, not helpless. Now my siblings are even so thankful that our mother was never before this very happy, looking good and well and stronger than she was three years ago. And so, I thought of why not share my life, help other families by unburdening them of their cares of the world. When the family members know that their parents are in the care of an able and sensitive (one who understands the needs) caregiver, they too become contented in life and are even more happy to see and be with their parents. I am enjoying what I do, and I am looking forward to extending what I learned to love doing for others - even for just one more person to care for and about. I say just one, because I also do not want to be away from my mother for longer hours and overnight - which is why I had to quit from my latest job. Thank you for helping me fulfill my calling in this place where God has planted me - to bloom.
