I've watched my mom and aunty care for the elderly over the years and what stuck to me always when I care for my patients is, "Treat them as if that is your family member" so when I go to work I make sure I treat my patients with care and love like he/she is my grandmother/father. I enjoy being able to hear about their stories of how they were brought up, experiences they've been through, how life was growing up and many other stories. I am proud of being able to help families be comfortable by letting someone they dont know care for their parent(s). It is rare to find someone who will love and care for your parent like you do so I do my best to make sure my patient feels the love I am giving is real.
