I became a Caregiver because I am a nurturing and caring person. I feel that everyone deserves to be cared for the way I would want my loved one to be cared for. I like being a Caregiver because when I know I can make a difference in someone's life in a positive way, it makes my job very rewarding. Knowing that a person is clean, eating healthy, keeping active and has everything they need to be comfortable, makes me very happy. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is being chosen as "Caregiver of the Month" out of over two hundred caregivers. And also maintaining an "Excellent" annual Caregiver rating with my former employer. I am someone who enjoys making people feel loved and comfortable. I am kind, respectful, dependable, and very easy to get along with. I understand not to take things personal, especially when someone is sick, uncomfortable or unhappy. I am also patient. When someone needs to be cared for, it's important to remember not to rush the person when they are trying to complete a task. I have been a Caregiver for five years and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I love being a Caregiver!
