Assists in the scheduling, recording, and other clerical aspects of mandated screenings, including vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings. 2. Performs minor first aid to injured and ill students. 3. Refers more seriously injured students to school nurses for intervention and referral. 4. Refers all emergency and catastrophic situations that may be potentially life threatening to an injured or ill student to the school principal or designee if a school nurse is away from the site. A school nurse is to be contacted through Pupil Services if not present at the school. 5.
