While it is true that caregiving can be a very demanding profession, both physically and emotionally, the personal gratification that comes from being able to help someone in need is the main reason why I still love being a caregiver. I have been described by my co-workers and clients as being : funny, a good communicator, reliable, compassionate, and having a loving heart. The one personal achievement that I am proud of is getting my Associates Degree in Gerontology. During this time, I was able to acquire the tools that would help me to learn, diagnose and possibly get a better understanding of how our aging process works.
