.I am an EMT. I am a hospice volunteer I became a volunteer 6 years ago in the memory of my mother and my father. I am a excellent caregiver and have recieved many awards for my services especially vigil volunteer. I love helping others. I am the last friend this person will have before they pass. I love helping them do the things they need to make it through their lives. I have so many things to say about why I love being a caregiver I get way more than I give. The weatlh of wisdom and knowledge that a person has to share and knowing that I put that smile on their face. I am the blessed one to be there to help and elderly person. I recieve the silver presidental award for 2014 for my volunteer services, I had the most patients in 2014, the most vigil volunteer hours in 2014. And I have been honered many times for my services over the last 3 years. I also recieved the Hellohumankindness award for 2014 at Mercy Hospital. Now Dignity Health I have been an EMT for over 2 years.I volunteered the the schools for over 20 years. I volunteered at Mercy Folsom (Dignity Health )Hospital

Though my first pick is with the Dementia and Alzheimer's clients, I have had other clients with other conditions, such as, stroke, diabetes and congested heart failure etc.. In 2011 when my ex mother in law became sick I became one of her caregivers. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed caring for her. I do believe this is my calling. I was once offered a position as manager of a home health company. I did not think I could do that job. I was right because I need to be the caregiver not the office person. I love my job. I like everything about caregiving. I love my seniors. I love their stories and their laughter. I'm happy when they are happy. I look forward everyday to seeing my seniors. I love cooking, cleaning and fussing over my seniors, so I'm a natural at caregiving. Remember if you love what you do it's never a job. My fee starts at $25 an hour. My fee increases if the shift is split. Also would like employer to pay a share of taxes. I am currently working for $24 an hour but I am not so sure that after 36.5 months it's working. So money is not the deciding factor for me. If you are looking for an experienced Alzheimer and or Dementia CNA , I could be the one!
